Getting To Know Edmonton

My wife and I have been looking at places we could visit for the first time. One of the places that has caught our attention is Edmonton, Alberta Canada. We never been to this region of Canada, and only just recently became aware of its title as “The Festival City.” It acquired the title because of its frequent posting of world-class cultural events and festivals. We believe it would be fun to rent Edmonton property and spend a few weeks there enjoying the sights and experiences.

As we love history, my wife and I are excited about the living history museum at Fort Edmonton Park. We would enjoy learning about the focal point Edmonton was as a staging center for mining operations in the Northwest Territories. It is an element of history with which we have little acquaintance.

And of course it doesn’t hurt my wife’s feelings that Edmonton is the home of the West Edmonton Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in North America.

Son Becoming a Model

This guest post from Mickey Garza

No to brag, but I think I have the cutest little boy of all. He is absolutely precious. I was worried I might be the only one thinking this, but I have strangers coming up to me to tell me how cute he is. I have been thinking about making him a model for direct star TV. I think he would be a perfect model. So I sent an application in yesterday. He loves to smile and is always flirting with the girls. Plus, it would be a great way to start saving for his college fund. He is only three right now, but it is important to start early. I have high expectations for my son and I want to be able to send him to any school he wants. If he wants to be a doctor, then hopefully we will have enough saved for medical school. If he wants to be a lawyer, then law school it is. Right now, he will make a perfect little model and hopefully he will be able to look back on the pictures and smile. Fingers crossed he gets the role.

Cutting used textbook costs

Guest post written by Kira Morgan

One of my favorite parts about going back to school shopping is actually hunting for some textbook bargains. I haven’t met a bargain that I didn’t like. But I’m smart about bargains. I don’t buy things that I wouldn’t want regardless of the price. I think that’s the best bargain-hunting rule to go by, always. With textbooks though, they’re a necessity instead of a luxury. So I have to just find the best deal that I can within reason.

A few weeks ago, I was online ordering some textbooks for this coming semester online and while I was doing that, I ran across the site www.GETCLEARwirelessinternet.com. I looked through it, sent it to my roommates and the next night we agreed on switching over our apartment’s internet service to one of the packages on there.

That sidetracked me for a bit, but I got some really great deals on my textbooks in the end. Plus, I found them in time where I didn’t have to pay an arm in a leg to get them shipped in time for classes, which would have defeated the purpose of buying cheap books online anyway.

Steve Carell is Hysterical When Screaming

Thanks for the post, Benito Trevino

My favorite television show is The Office. Though new episodes of the show are still being broadcast on NBC the show is also in syndications on several channels. I love this because I get to watch it fairly often on my direct.tv. Recently my favorite episode of The Office was on and I got to enjoy it all over again.

The show takes place in the Scranton regional office of Dunder Miflin, a fictional paper company. Steve Carell plays the office manager, Michael Scott and he is absolutely brilliant. Michael is an amazing character whose life centers on his position though he is in many ways inept. He is desperately lonely and seeking a wife and family but it has eluded him repeatedly. Michael fills that need with the characters that surround him in the office; his coworkers are the family he wants so badly yet they often do not feel the same way about him.

Toby is the office’s Human Resources manager and had always been the one character that Michael couldn’t stand. The reasons for this were never quite clear yet Michael treated him with scorn and open derision. My favorite episode centers on Toby’s return to the office after he had supposedly departed for good and moved to Costa Rica. This return is a surprise to Michael and though he is advised of Toby’s presence her refuses to believe it. No matter how many times I watch Steve Carell scream in horror as he discovers Toby back at his old desk will erase the humor I find in his face and expressions.

Adventures of Superman

The Author of this post is Delmar Bailey

There is nothing quite like watching original episodes of the Adventures of Superman. This is truly one of the best sitcoms that was ever created. I think it is so much fun to watch the original episodes of this fabulous sitcom. The black and white episodes truly give a person the feeling that they are watching a classic film.

I love to watch all of the old episodes of the Adventures of Superman on my superman. I think that it is so important for the actor that plays a rendition of superman to be confident and have a strong masculine tendency. It is important for any superman to have a high amount of chivalry. I thi! nk that superman is truly all about heroism and rescuing people. I love watching the episodes when superman is able to sweep women off of their feet and save them. It is so much fun to watch some old episodes of superman on television on the weekends. There is nothing I love more than catching a few episodes of Superman, simply to relax and enjoy my time off. I love to break out some snacks, invite friends over, and watch as many episodes of Superman as possible. It is so much fun to watch this show.

Free Link Building Tools!

Many people have great ideas that they would like to develop into a internet enterprise. And they are willing to do the work to build a web site and promote their ideas. But they lack the expertise to move from the idea to a successful web presence.

Fortunately there are sites that specialize in providing the expertise that is needed to build traffic to a web site. One such place is FreeLinkBuildingTools.com.  There one can learn the art of link building and can learn to build a free link exchange. They provide tutorials on three levels; beginner, intermediate and advanced, so there is a wide range of information. Learning about free links can be invaluable to the success of your web site and help get more people to take advantage of your great ideas!

Tire Chains!

Having lived more than six decades in the Greater Houston Texas area, I never have had any need of tire chains, and thought I never would. But this Christmas season our family is going to Montana for a ski trip. Departure is Sunday, with the flight going to Bozeman.

Being unused to temperatures like those in Montana, I did a little search for information about driving in that climate. I found TireChainDealer.com, and am now more confident about the kind of tire chains that may be needed, how to install them and thus more confident about the whole adventure. I love the videos that help folks like me know how to choose the right tire chain product for my needs, and how to install them with the least difficulty. Who’s afraid of driving in Montana?

Auto Accident Attorney in Michigan

My brother now lives in Midland, Michigan, along with his wife and three college-age children. Having been raised in South Texas where there is no snow, surely driving in the winter months must be a time of serious concern for them. Perhaps I need to send him contact link to the article I was just reading online about a Michigan auto accident attorney.

I hope that my brother’s family never needs a Michigan personal injury attorney, but if he does I want him to have one that will truly help his family. The article might help my brother determine why even needs a Michigan personal injury lawyer. This accident attorney in Michigan could help explain to my brother how the no-fault laws in the state would affect any claim he might have.

While I don’t want my brother to find himself in a position of need, I would rather him be better informed before he has any need.

That’s the Ticket!

I have been privileged to see baseball games in many of the Major League Parks over the years. Living in the Houston area, I have been to games in all three stadiums the franchise has called home. In fact, 5 of my friends and I split season tickets at Minute Maid Park.
But in my travels, I always try to see a game in other cities. In 1976 our family took a Bicentennial trip that took us to Washington D.C. While there we went to see a game in Baltimore. The game was good and the fans were terrific. Eddie Murray hit two home runs in an Orioles win.
On another occasion one of the boys from our local church earned a spot in the NCAA Tennis National Championship tournament in Kansas City. He finished 4th in doubles. But while there we took in a Royals game. No home runs, but George Brett had three hits.
A friend of mine worked with Andy Pettitte’s brother. When we decided to go to see the Yankees play, the brother arranged to have Andy leave tickets for us at Will Call. We had great seats, among the  family members and friends.
One of my favorite games of all time was in Houston, the first World Series game ever held in Houston. We saw Roy Oswalt pitch for the Astros, but unfortunately, the White Sox won the game and went on to win the championship the next night.
